After I discovered the Sichuan restaurants, a whole new world of Chinese food culture opened up for me an immediately went to the toko to buy a bag of Sichuan peppercorns.
I actually noticed that my Sichuan discovery did actually bond me with people I just met or know, that also happen to be a huge fan of the Sichuan restaurants.
Especially the twice cooked pork and the whole seabass, yum!
To be fully honest, I can’t remember the first time we went to Sichuan, because since the moment we visited the restaurant for the first time it became our favourite place in Amsterdam!
It became a place where we take all of our friends to introduce them to the cuisine. My dad became obsessed with it too, and every time he visits Amsterdam we need to visit Sichuan.
My favourite meal… that’s a hard one – everything is so tasty! The latest discovery whole sea bass, this was delicious! What I like the most is to go with a group of friends so we get to try more meals and dine all together then it’s all about sharing food and this yummy experience!

After recording my very first CD, three full days of work, I took my fellow musicians out to celebrate at Sichuan.
All of the stress of the previous days melted away, as we ate the hot and sour fish soup, spicy fungus salad, and my absolute favourite, the green beans.
Makes me nostalgic for my Chinese family.
I got to know Sichuan because of the Order guys, I saw they were involved in this project and i already knew the other restaurant in the center, so i naturally had to check this amazing place in noord!
I think the eggplant was my favorite dish!
